Attention to Detail
Colour
Colour plays with our emotions. No other design tool has such a profound effect on the observer. Whether you desire a sensual, explosive red or endless deep black, every colour has its own character. A clever colour combination provides exciting contrasts. Our fronts are entirely covered in a top quality structured lacquer. There are virtually no solvents in these environmentally friendly, water soluable paint systems, and they are 100% formaldehyde free. The effects of UV rays result in extremely strong, no fading deluxe lacquers that will cope with the highest of stresses.
Glass
Glass embodies clarity and transparency and is seeing something of a renaissance as a material in the modern kitchen. The shiny surface catches light and colour and makes a room look larger. Whether a cupboard door or shelf: glass as a a design element enlightens room concepts and in combination with light, cleverly puts the spotlight on objects of beauty.
Caring for Wood
Since wood is a naturally grown material, natural variations in colour and texture occur. Even differences in the incidence of light can result in apparent variations in the appearance of the wood. Over the years, different influences of light and sunlight may result in colour changes.
Your work surfaces will mellow with age and the character of wood can be as striking in a contemporary kitchen as a rural retreat.
Please also be aware that as wood is a living material, it must not be exposed to extremely damp or dry air. Otherwise, the wood could shrink or swell.
Ergonomics
Today, choosing the right kitchen is no longer just a matter of style, but also a question of correct posture: the decisive elements here are perfectly coordinated working heights, e.g. for preparation and washing up.
The two Häcker Systemat carcass heights of 65 + 78 cm in combination with the different plinth heights yield a total of 8 individual working heights of 79–104 cm.
Ask our kitchen designers to advise you on your ideal individual working height!
Cleaning Laminate and melamine resin
Our fitted kitchens are maintenance-free. The life span of your kitchen can be increased however if you lubricate particularly frequently used “moving” parts such as hinges and castors with a drop of oil approximately every 2 years.
Laminate and melamine resin surfaces, fronts and worktops can be conveniently cleaned with common commercially available cleaners. Cleaning is quickest with the use of hand-hot water with addition of a squirt of washing up liquid or spirits. We recommend that the wood fronts and other materials in solid wood (e.g. cornices and light pelmets, worktop edging etc.) be cleaned only with hand-hot water and a window leather. In stubborn cases, e.g. for removing residual grease, cream or felt pen etc., spirits or benzine diluted with water (1:1) is suitable. Furniture polishes or polishing wax is not recommended for caring for solid wood.
The important element is that the cleaner does not damage or dissolve the protective clear varnish on solid wood materials. Do not under any circumstances use aggressive liquid cleaners or scouring products.
To ensure perfect running of the pull-outs, the guide rails must be kept clean. Particularly particles of dirt that enter the guide should be removed immediately with a fine brush.
